haven been blogging. everytime i open computer got other things keep me occupied.:D and i got new boots!

seriously i love it. its damn nice + its comfortable. and got new socks and shinguard. cause my old socks damn tight when putting on, but damn loose once put on. =.= dont ask me how. also my shinguard the straps tear so got new one. and monday have friendly agianst chua chu kang sec. only like 14 ppl are able to go... somemore kr not going also.

school is tiring. yesterday maths test. i hardly studied for it. like 1 hour with mr yee and 10mins at home to make sure i understand one part. still i feel i did ok considering how much i studied. i will know once the results come out :S

and season has finally started. liverpool against tottenham. isnt going to be an easy game. hope we start off the season well.

i am dying of boredom so i decided to blog. everyone is out there at lan while i am stuck here at home playing agianst stupid bots. yesterday in class suddenly fall sick within an hour, like starting of lesson was perfect alright, then suddenly body temp high, with sore throat. very bad headache too. so decided not to go school although i very much wanted to go lan... anyway spent the enitre day surfing the net and watching youtube.

liverpool sold alonso and bought aquilani. not sure if that was a clever move. aquilani doesnt have the same dead acurate long-passing range as alonso, but his short passes are very good much like xavi. also has a damn strong shot with both his legs. but unfortunately he is quite injury-prone according to reports. but videos of him give a damn good impression. if we can keep him off the treatment table i am sure he will be a much better player than alonso.

rafa benitez is damn good at the market. supposedly he had about 30m at the start of the season to spend and whatever he got from selling players.

It may seem repetative for the last 19 years but we really have a good chance of wining if we can keep up the momentum from last season.

finally trainings have resumed. yesterday quite slack lol. did the usual stuff, then me and joel decided not to play match so that can train our shooting. see i am a hardworking person ;D liverpool vs singapore tml. 3 of the best liverpool players not playing. suddenly i dont feel so bad for not buying tickets. knew that liverpool probably wont play their best team. look at the starting line-up agianst thailand. ngog, nemeth, babel, kuyt, levia, plessis, insua, agger, carra, degen?, and calvarlari(dunno how to spell ;D) at least torres, masch, and johnsen played a bit. still feel bad for not watching them live. dont feel like a true liverpool fan T.T

ohh been searching youtube for skills which i can hopefully use when i came upon this. simply the best football video i have ever seen. damn nice especially the 6min + parts. i remember that there was once a video like that in jogabonito website, but this is much much better. seriuosly this is one video worth watching.

Honestly i dont give a shit where those two jokers are but Owen? former liverpool acedemy plaer and a red for his entire life. just thinking about it makes me feel bad and slightly scared, even tough ppl may label him as a joke, since he lost most of his pace, there is no way he is going to lose his finshing. maybe a bit rusty, but it will always be there.

Man city are crazy. they bought enough strikers for 3 teams =.= each is about 15-20m. tevez, sant-cruz, robinho, and all the other jokers. now add adebayour. Liverpool need to get one more major signing. if alonso leaves, get a good replacement and use the spare cash to get some good LM. seriously silva is damn good, he can play LM ST RM anything.

i am waiting for RF manager 09/10 to come out, then i dont need to pay attention in classes already. not like i am doing much now...

finally decided to blog. after a couple of weeks. well start of school has been ok. timetable slightly better now. no longer i have breaks at unknown times when noone else is having. lessons are quite ok, although slightly boring (oh well:D)i will start off with a couple of videos.

went vivo to watch terminator with joel and charles. had lunch and LJS and played arcade. acutally just watched them play lol cause i was trying to save money lol. :D

went for training in school which was damn fun considering the long break we have had. i was actually looking forward to it. missed a damn open goal decided to cross to praveer instead of shooting it myself. oh well. :D
after that went to LAN, damn fun playing/screening cs there. anyway i went to mrt and realised i left my shoebag at the lan centre=.= i walked into the train then somehow managed to rmb lol lucky i wasnt on the way to yishun....

down with stupid fever so spent the days rotting at home doing nothing. chest hurt damn baldy if i coughed and it felt like my chest was being squeezed when i sneezed. was supposed to go for movie with pri sch frens but could not go. oh well

so much for 'i want to play CL football' villa fans would have forgiven him for joining liverpool as liverpool are in CL and all. but man city? cant even get to europa this season... by the time they qualify for CL, if they do, barry would be 30+ and beyond his prime. maybe he decided to just cash in the rest of his career. anyway its his career and his choice so wtv. kaka has agreed a deal with real madrid for a 56m transfer. anyway these two transfers are good news for liverpool fans as it is almost certain that alonso will stay on at liverpool. he wont be threatened by barry anymore and RM would be less willing to splash on another player now that they already got kaka. but barry would have been nice as a 4th choice cover :D

apparently benitez is bringing in 20-year-old javi martinez, another spanish =.=, to fight for 4th place with lucas. with the possibility that silva could be brought in there is a chance that we could have reina, arbeloa, martinez, alonso, silva and torres in a team which is 6 spanish players. liverpool might as well join spanish league when 6/5 rule is implemented. anyway the other options for stikers are:

the final game of the season is today night (i dont consider FA cup to be impt:D). hope both teams go and attack so at least i wont sleep off halfway through the game.

anyway the season is over for liverpool and although we have ended the 3rd succesive season trophyless(excluding the charity shield =.=), the improvement is clear. start of the season, we were meant to be a extra fighting for 4th place with arsenal, aston villa, everton and all. but look what we have done. not only have we pushed man u till the 2nd last game of the season, we have played some great footbal, and DEMOLISHED our rivals. we drew with lowly teams like stoke, and others. but they came to us and parked infront of their goal what were we expected to do? we do not have 4 world class strikers for a team playing 4-4-2. noway we will be able to keep up the pressure on every single team. but i prefer it this way: good performances over rivals, poor over noob teams compared to average agianst all teams. this shows the quality liverpool have in the team. so to those ppl that mock me about liverpool, srry but it wont affect me:D

Well our valiant Premiership challenge is finally over but it’s been a hell of a ride and there were times when our football was so good, that it felt like we were back in the 80’s again. So I guess I should be feeling gutted right now, but I’m not. Obviously there is some disappointment but while we always remained hopeful, I think deep down we all knew weeks back that this would be the likely outcome. As Liverpool fans we have a tendency to believe in miracles as we’ve seen a few over the years, but even miracles are hard to come by when things are out of your hands and you have to rely on other teams to do you a favour.

In the circumstances it was natural that the team was going to be a bit flat in our game at West Brom on Sunday but, other than Carra and Arby swinging their hand-bags at each other, it was a very professional performance. Gerrard’s 24th goal of the season and Deadly Dirk’s 15th, gave us a fairly comfortable win with both players achieving their highest ever seasons goal return in a Liverpool shirt. The victory also brought us to 83 points our best ever tally in a Premiership season, with another possible three points available in our final game against Spurs at Anfield.

This is one of the big reasons why any disappointment I may be feeling is totally overshadowed by how proud I am of our teams efforts this season and how positive I’m feeling about the seasons ahead. History shows us that in almost all cases, a team needs to mount a serious challenge for a season or two before going on to win the league and we’ve certainly ticked that box this season. All of the excellent work and steady progress Rafa has made with the side since arriving at Anfield is beginning to come to fruition but even the great man himself has admitted there is still much work to be done and lots of room for improvement.

There have been plenty of positives for us this season but also a few lessons to be learned. Two of the big ones that spring to my mind is that firstly, there should no longer be any doubt that all things being equal we most certainly have a team that is good enough to win the Premiership and secondly, over the course of a season all things are often not equal and it is for those occasions that you need a strong squad.

It’s been very evident in recent months that we are now regularly playing the type of Valencia-like football that we hoped Rafa would eventually bring to us. It’s perhaps taken us longer to get to this position than either ourselves or the manager would have ideally liked but a total rebuild from the youth to the senior side was required and for various reasons the boss just didn’t have the financial backing to make it happen any faster.

By my reckoning, in the four seasons since he’s come to Anfield he has had just £60-£70 million to buy players and the rest of his spending has been financed through player sales. If we had, had the foundation of a strong title winning squad when he arrived, as the arse did at the time and the chavs and mancs have had since, then that kind of money might have been just enough to freshen things up and keep us on track, but that was by no means the case.

Next season only Carra and Gerrard will remain from the squad he inherited. So it really is an amazing achievement that in just four seasons this man has rebuilt the entire playing side of the club both on and off the pitch with less funds than he would have had available at the likes of Spurs, Newcastle or even Sunderland! That would be remarkable by itself but during the rebuild process he has also managed to firmly cement our position in what seems to be becoming the “Big Three”, we are the current number one ranked side in Europe and we also picked up a bit of silverware along the way.

Despite the frustrations of managing a club with champagne aspirations but lemonade transfer funds, he has kept plugging away. With one or two exceptions, enough money wasn’t made available for his main transfer targets so cheaper alternatives had to be gambled upon. Some worked out and some didn’t but they were usually sold on for a profit which would then be used to fund a better quality replacement. Having to upgrade the side in this fashion obviously takes time but to a large extent this method is responsible for the squad we have now.

We have come a long way with Rafa in charge. Under previous managers and in the boss’s first couple of seasons, our team often resembled a sinking life raft where one hole would eventually be plugged only for us to spring a leak somewhere else, but things are a lot different now. The gaffer first gave the side a strong spine, then built a strong team around that spine and now he is trying to build a strong squad around that team. Building a squad is an ongoing process and progress has been made, but more work needs to be done over the summer if we are to continue to make progress towards our ultimate goal.

The fact that Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard were in our starting line-up for only the 13th time this season in our game at West Brom, really tells its own story. They are our two best attacking players who have struck up a great partnership which is our biggest source of goals and I’ve no doubts in my mind that we would already be champions if they both had been available to us more often this season. But football, just like life, isn’t always fair and sometimes you’ve just got to get on with it and try to take whatever positives you can from the negatives.

Considering that we were without our two main men for long periods through various injuries but still managed to do well and keep ourselves in a challenging position, is evidence of the progress that has been made in adding more depth to our squad. However, more depth and quality is needed for us to potentially win not just the Premiership but the other competitions as well.

Realistically you can’t really replace players like Gerrard and Torres but you can improve the quality of the options you have available when they aren’t around. For example, when Torres is injured our options consist of the tireless but unprolific Kuyt, the inconsistent Babel, the promising but still developing Ngog and maybe Benny Onion.

These are all good players with various qualities of their own but if they have to play the role of our main striker, the gap in quality between each of them and Torres is far too wide. The mancs are ahead of us in this department. They have the likes of Tevez, Chimp features, Ladyboy and Barbie Doll as their attacking options, not to mention Fergie’s young Italian rent boy. Given our transfer budget it won’t be easy, but we need at least one more option in attack who can partner Torres when required and more properly fill the void when he isn’t available.

Central midfield is another area where I feel we need to strengthen our options. For a team that often uses three central midfielders to only have four experienced ones in the first team squad, seems to me to be cutting it a bit fine. In our strongest 11, Alonso and Masch play behind Gerrard which allows him to go forward to support Torres. Those three are a very strong combination but all of them have had injuries over the season and I find it worrying that our only natural cover for this area is Lucas.

I don’t have a problem with Lucas, he is still developing but comes in and provides decent cover when we need him. But we need more cover and competition for places in this area and again I think there is that gap in quality between Lucas and the players he replaces. This is one of the big reasons why it really does my head in when I hear some people say they don’t see where Gareth Barry would fit in at Anfield.

If Rafa chooses to go after him again in the summer, I think he would be a great signing and an ideal extra option for us in central midfield. I honestly believe this guy would be a perfect fit for us. He is a quality player, well proven in the Premiership and an international who already links up well with Gerrard in the England team. He was also captain of Villa for a few years so he is also a leader and you can’t have too many of those in your team.

Barry is also versatile and can play on the left if required. He also has a sweet left foot, which he uses to good effect in dead ball situations and corner-kicks, and the list goes on. This guy just ticks so many boxes. Last summer he was Rafa’s number one target but it didn’t work out and now he will be available for about half the price, so for me this really is a no-brainer.

I’m not talking about him replacing anybody, I think we need to add him to the central midfielders we already have. I’m also not suggesting he would walk straight into our first team but he would get plenty of games for us, probably as many as he gets at Villa. He could slot in nicely beside Alonso, Masch or even Lucas and provide us with that extra quality option that I believe will be very useful to us next season. If all we manage to do this summer is cover these two areas and bring in another option at right-back, we will be in great shape for the next campaign.

The mancs and their media buddy’s are now in full celebration mode but they have merely matched something that we achieved almost two decades ago with almost none of the same over the top fanfare. It’s taken 19 barren league years from us, £100’s of millions from them and lot’s of kind help from the FA and their officials over the years, but finally they have drawn level with us on 18 league titles.

Next season we will battle to see who gets to 19 first and thankfully for the first time in two decades I really believe we are ready. With a couple of additions over the summer I feel we will be well equipped to take on the mancs, the chavs, the arse and any other team that gets in our way. The mancs may be the ones celebrating at the moment but I remember a wise old saying which says that those who follow in your foot steps, can never pass you by and maybe next season we’ll find out if it’s true!

woohoo. chalet was fun. although we spent some times stoning at tv it was still way more fun then staying at home and stoning at laptop lol.

first day i met them at bedok macs. i didnt bring my laptop to my chalet cause needed to bring charles and sg birthday present. we bought sg a ball and charles a new shoebag. the best part was that charles had bought the exact shoebag, same colour just before that. oh well. at least it was one that he likes. then went to buy all the stuff for the chalet and all. once we reached chalet started watching some soccer stuff on tv and the rest were quite pissed cause they dont wan to watch haha;D eventually we got bored of watching soccer, so we decided to play soccer:D we started playing at the area around the staircase and to protect the walls this is what we did:D

but i still managed to break a mug. =.= i was playing reina and was doing some stupid skill and the mug broke lol. after that went to play street soccer at the court we booked. quite fun cause we didnt care about the score. returned and they were doing bbq while we showered :D i was told to take a pic of this and post on my blog so....

awesome right. burning fire =.= oh yea and yk stuck his marshmellow inside and it burned up. and he still ate it =.=anyway night i continued playing on yk's com and later on they went to playground nearby. we were playing soccer at first in pitch dark which was damn fun cause like suddenly got ppl pop-up out of nowhere like that. then played blind mice where i was camping at one place and i would not have been caught if not for someone using me as a shield *ahem*. then they were watching uefa up which was damn boring so i slept at like 5 smth. i have no idea what time i woke up.

anyway next day, we went to play soccer at ssc agian. but this time they were playing each person in losers team but do Truth or Dare cause noone was playing seriously. then everyone were playing seriously then got fights and all. afternoon i slept for 1-2 hours cause i was having a headache... i cant really remember what happen other than that we watched x-men and slept. oh yea i learnt how to play majong from watching sg play cause i was damn bored from playing yk com. I WON MY FIRST GAME. but lost the next 2 lol.

anyway next day we went to the bus stop at 10.20. the bus was at 10.15=.= spent damn long waiting for the next bus almost an hour wth. somemore a stupid guard never let us play soccer on the road. i mean like come-on. its not like its dangerous or smth:D

we had lunch at KFC and later went to buy tickets for movie. by that time only me, charles, sg, elmo, bryan, cherie, shi hui and sharmila were left. i think. srry if i left anyone out. anyway sg didnt want to watch movie so we went to rooftop play a while then go movie. night in the museam(dunno how to spell) 2. nice and funny. worth it lol.

after that went back home. didnt feel like sleeping since i slept quite alot in chalet. went to play soccer with friends. i am super noob without shoes. been like damn long i played without shoes. dang.

ok, havent been blogging for damn freaking long. cause i was studying :D and playing when i have breaks so no time to blog;D. hopefully i will blog more now. exams are over and i dont feel like anything, wth. usually i will come home damn happy on com start playing, today just like any normal day like that. sian.

i am bored to write too much so its copy + paste :D

I’ll get to my top ten shortly but I’ve been thinking about this during the week and I reckon that if we gave ourselves a lobotomy and used the same criteria that saw Ryan Giggs named PFA Player of the Year last weekend, then the choice for our player of the year would surely have to be Sami Hyypia. I certainly do not mean any disrespect to Big Sami who has given our club some fantastic service over the years, but of all the players in our squad his stats for the season are the closest to Giggs.

By my reckoning he has started 15 games, 3 more than Giggs, he has scored one goal, the same as Giggs (article written before the weekend when and Giggs had only scored 1 when he won the award) and he has given the club more than a decade of loyal service. That may not be quite as long as Giggs has given to the Mancs but there again these awards, we are told, are meant to be about a players performances over a season not their careers, so longevity shouldn’t make any difference.

So there you go, conclusive proof of why Sami Hyypia has been our best and most important player of the season, or at least he would be if we were like the lobotomised members of the PFA! Don’t get me wrong, Big Sami has played an important role for us this season as he has done in every season he’s been with us, but our player of the season? I think not and I dare say even the man himself would agree.

I don’t have a problem with Giggs and loyalty, even if it is to the Mancs, in the modern game is certainly something worthy of acknowledgement but to confuse this with naming him not just the best player at his club but in the entire league over the past season is quite clearly ludicrous! In allowing this media driven sentimental bullshit to cloud their judgement, I think the members of the PFA have forever tainted this once important award and diminished the achievement of the many great players who have won it in the past.

But all this talk about best players etc got me thinking that although there is still some football to be played before this season ends, I’ve already pretty much made up my mind on my top ten Liverpool players of the season. I don’t expect there’s much going to happen in the remaining games to affect the placings, so without further ado and a little earlier then I’d originally planned here’s my Top 10 Liverpool Players in season 08/09.

LFC Player10. Hyppia: The big Finn just keeps on going. He has now completed a decade at Anfield and in that time his bad games would barely reach double figures. He would now be our fourth choice centre back but when we’ve needed him this season he’s come in and done a great job, particularly in our game at the Theatre of Illusions when he was called into the team just minutes before the kick off but took it all in his stride and never put a foot wrong. I’m not surprised to hear that other teams are still anxious to sign him but I will be definitely sorry to see him go.

LFC Player9. Arbeloa: At the start of the season I had my doubts about him as our first choice right back but I think he’s grown into the role. Thanks to the medical miracle known as Degan, we’ve been a little short of cover in the position so Arby’s had to play a lot more games this season than perhaps was originally planned but for the vast majority he’s done very well.

LFC Player8. Skrtel: He’s proven to be a great signing. A very solid centre half who is sure to be at the heart of our defence for many years to come. He’s had a few dodgy moments recently as have the rest of our defence but he’s had a great season overall. I just hope he can find a way to add a few goals to his game and be a bit more of a threat when he comes up for corners etc.

LFC Player7. Benayoun: He wasn’t overly impressive in the first half of the season but since the turn of the year, and particularly recently, he’s been terrific. If he can maintain this form he will be a great asset to us in the remaining games and next season.

LFC Player6. Carra: He’s had a good season although not his best in my opinion but he is still the rock at the heart of our defence. Brings a lot more to the team than just simply footballing ability. Reliable and solid.

LFC Player5. Reina: In my opinion he is the best goalkeeper in the Premiership and one of the best in the world. I don’t know how many goals his excellent distribution has been responsible for or how many points he has been worth to us this season but it’s a lot that’s for sure.

LFC Player4. Torres: When fully fit and in form our number 9 is the most lethal striker in the game. He is an awesome player who just oozes class and is already being talked about in the same breath as some of the other great strikers who have played for the club in the past. He would definitely be higher in my list but he’s missed a lot of games this season through injury. Even so he has still managed 13 goals in barely more than 20 games so who knows where we would be now if he had been available for more.

LFC Player3. Dirk: I’ve never seen a player who works as hard. He runs his bollocks off from the first minute to the last of every single game he plays in. Tiredness is never a factor for Kuyt, he rarely picks up injuries and tends to score some very important goals. He’s played a lot of games this season and been very consistent so he well deserves a place in my top three.

LFC Player2. Gerrard: You run out of superlatives to describe our captain but in my opinion he is the best player in the world. There are some other great players around but none of them have as many strings to their bow as Gerrard. When he is on form he is almost unstoppable and he has developed a brilliant partnership with Torres in attack. He only misses out on my top spot because like Torres he has unfortunately missed a lot of games this season with various injuries.

LFC Player1. Alonso: In my opinion this has been his best and most consistent season for us, he’s been brilliant. The fact that he almost ended up at Juventus last summer is a stick that some people have tried to beatRafa up with but the truth is that before this season he’d been very inconsistent for about two years. The close call of a move away seems to have inspired him to produce his best and he’s been excellent for us this season pulling the strings in the centre of our midfield. Let’s hope for more of the same from him next season.

So that’s my top ten. There are of course some notable omissions and while the likes of Masch, Aurelio, Lucas, Babel, Dossena and Riera have all had their moments this season, they haven’t produced them often enough to make my top ten. Insua has also been great for us but he hasn’t played in enough games.

But the teenagers performance could mean that Benitez will face a struggle to hang on to Siong Gim's services. A posse of top sides from around the world are said to be interested in signing him. In fact, one of the world's biggest clubs, Barcelona of Spain are already rumoured to have had an offer of almost £38 million rejected by Benitez and chairman David Moores, Benitez stated that he is building a team to conquer the world and nobody in his squad is available.

Ryan Giggs has been playing at the top of his profession for almost 20 years. He’s a shining light amongst modern footballers, in that he keeps himself to himself, and is as far removed from the David Beckham and Ashley Cole lifestyle possible. Even as a Liverpool fan, I still find it hard to hate the likes of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. I don’t like them; but I respect them for what they’ve achieved in the game, how they’ve gone about doing that and how they conduct themselves on and off the field.

Ryan Giggs has consistently been one of the better players in this country for a long time. He came into the United side as a flying left winger and has been part of every side Alex Ferguson has assembled throughout the 90’s and the past decade. This season however, he’s started only 12 games and scored only 1 goal. A sign of his age and tired legs? Or the hallmarks of the PFA Footballer of the Year?

I have the greatest of respect for Ryan Giggs; but to suggest he’s been the best player in this country this season is a decision almost as appalling as Howard Webb’s call to award a penalty to United on Saturday. If he’s been the best player this season then this award can be treated as a joke from here on in. How can a player that has started only 12 games and scored only 1 goal be deemed to be the best player in the country over the course of a season? It’s madness.

This isn’t an anti-United bias, as I’d have voted for Vidic, but there is something seriously wrong with the award if a player that has started less than a third of his sides games can win it.

I understand the votes are cast in late January, with a deadline of early March for their return. Players are being asked to vote for their player of the season when the most important part of the season is still to come, and the season is only half complete. Where is the logic in that? We can have General Elections where the entire nation is polled, and results can be published within hours, yet players have to vote on their player of the year some 3 to 4 months before the end of the season. It’s completely lost on me and belittles the award’s importance.

Ryan Giggs played well for a period of 5 or 6 weeks at the turn of the year; the period when voting took place. Players that perform well in a 5 to 6 week period usually win the Player of the Month award, not Player of the Year.

When players collect awards, there is usually a montage of highlights played to recall why they’ve won the award. What are they going to do when Ryan Giggs collects his award? Stick the West Ham goal on repeat and show it from a few different angles? I think even he’ll be embarrassed at the accolade given to him by his fellow professionals and know that it’s not justified.

For me, there’s been no standout player this season. Vidic has been a rock at the back for United, but had a shaky few weeks at the time the votes were cast. Steven Gerrard has been brilliant, but I wouldn’t say it’s been his greatest season in a Liverpool shirt. Ronaldo has been half the player he was last year, while Frank Lampard wasn’t even nominated. It’s been far from a vintage year for outstanding performers; but to give the award to the attacking player with 1 goal to his name and only 12 appearances is laughable.

excellent... 4-4... now manu might be 6 points in front of us. wth. giving christmas presents like that. our defence. especially aurelio. TWO mistakes. arbeloa. "It was veering from one side to the other because the woman was sitting on the man's lap while he was driving and doing the act, shall we say," said Tor Stein Hagen, a superintendent with Soendre Buskerund district police.

"He couldn't see much because her back was in the way," he added.

"Why they did it on a highway with such a high risk we don't know."

After following the couple for nearly a kilometre, officers pulled the car over at a service station.

"We have taken away his driving licence because of the danger that he caused," Hagen said.

Prosecutors will decide within the next week what his punishment will be, with police having filmed the incident to use as evidence against the driver.

Hagen said he expected the man to face a fine of "several thousand Norwegian crowns" (1,000 Norwegian crowns = S$230) and a lengthy driving ban.

knnb liverpool were owning fulham and all they had to show was a goal from benayoun in the last minutes of the game. yea la 3 points quite good already but still when they can trash all the teams and so unlucky against these kinds of teams sigh... anyway i wan to count how many chances they had that would have been converted on a normal day.

1) doessena shot tipped over the bar with a finger-tip save.
2) doessena back-flick after skrytel shot that hit the crossbar
3) torres shot which was not fully stoped by schwarzer and managed to touch the ball away from kuyt
4) alonso's half-volley which cracked the crossbar
5) 1-1 by torres after gerrard slicing through ball which hit the far-post.

11) GOAL finally. of all the chances i would say this goal looked the least nice. but the least nice one scored

yoo. didnt post yesterday and didnt go school today. had a headache, high fever and throat infection all yesterday. anyway yesterday nan hua were having some track thingy so we had tactical. which would not be so bad if not for the fact that richard spent damn long talking about what each postion should do... and it felt like my fever was rising also... diee. anyway after the tactical, some of them went down to play and in the end coach came and made them do shooting practice i think. lol me joel and kr were watching them from the overhead bridge. haha. joel gave me 1 panadol but it like never work cause when i came home i realised i had fever of 39.2 wtf. so took 2 more panadols and slept. today i woke up and my temp was like 37.9 so decided not to go school :D

i ponned 2.4 lol. and joel seems to have gotten my throat infection. srry haha :D and i would have prefered to have run today la. at least if got people around will motivate me to run faster and i can pace someone. sighs. and when i went to doctor he almost gave me an mc with someelses name =.= was halfway on the way home when i realised the mc was some malay woman... anyway i switched with the counter-person. i got mc for 2 days:D. but i am planning to go school tml. i dont wan to miss a day when i have only 2 hours of lessons :D. and i guess bio is quite useful. the reason for my mc is written as pharyngitis. which is something to do with the pharynx which is the throat. see i study :D

Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar would not be surprised to see Jose Reina add a goalscoring threat to his list of attributes.

Former goalkeeper Grobbelaar, who was a member of Liverpool's 1990 championship-winning squad, has been so impressed by Spanish shot-stopper Reina he considers him an attacking weapon for Rafael Benitez.

haha. went to mediacorp today to watch my friend in some song competition finals. he got 3rd out of the 6 finalist. woohoo(fellow liverpool supporter!). not bad. and apparently i am supposed to know the person who got 1st but i have no idea who it is. and mediacorp is damn bloodly confusing. lucky i took taxi or not confirm get lost one.nothing else already. shall not post video. and i have not played a single game of our 'fifa league'. shall find some people to play now :D

Liverpool - Chelsea! again! wth. its like we are destined together. 5 years, 4th meeting in CL knockout stages. would have prefered if we had drawn bayern munich cause other than man u they are the only team we have not played and won in the CL. hope bayern beat barcelona but doubt that will happen cause barcelona on form now. man u has a relativly easy games with porto and the winner of the arsenal/villarreal draw. not gonna be suprising to see them for the second time in the finals in two years.

today spent pretty much the whole day on youtube and forums. even now people say benitez has to go. i mean come on. wining real madrid 4-0? so easy. Man U 4-1? sunderland could do it. even if benitez wins anything this season he will still be a failure and must go out. read this. from thisisanfield. damn long. but it was worth it.:D

I want to pose what I hope is an interesting philosophical question.

It involves something bordering on a parallel universe, but only in the loose sense; I'm obviously no astrophysicist (although I did once nearly disappear up my own black hole).

It is the summer of 2004. Alex Ferguson has just taken over as Liverpool boss. Down the M62, Alex Ferguson is also still in charge of Manchester United.

It is not one man managing both clubs (the chance for sabotage that would be huge!), but two different versions of the same man. An identical clone, if you will, albeit one of whom we'll call Scouse Alec.

My question would be, would Scouse Alec have overtaken Actual Alex at United? Or even got close?

This question arose in my mind after I heard a Liverpool fan asking if someone like Alex Ferguson would have succeeded by now in bringing the title to Liverpool; in other words, could he have done better than Rafa Benítez?

But, of course, whoever took over Liverpool in 2004 had to deal with the reality of Ferguson still being at United, where, just a year earlier, his team had yet again won the Premiership. Hence the two Fergusons for this hypothetical.

Actual Alex was already almost two decades into the job at United, and already knighted. He cut a powerful figure. And he has spent roughly £30m more than Benítez since that summer, when the Reds finished 15 points behind United, who were 3rd.

For the sake of this debate we'll say that Scouse Alec is given the same resources as Benítez (even though Rafa earned Liverpool a lot of that money in annual Champions League qualifications and progress, which another manager may not have done).

So with Houllier gone, Scouse Alec instantly has major problems.

Liverpool's squad is pretty average, as its league showing for the previous two years confirms. There are a handful of top-class talents, like Gerrard, Carragher, Hamann and Hyypia, but plenty of players already in their 30s. Henchoz, Hamann and Smicer are not long-term options, and Hyypia, for all his talent, cannot remain a regular forever.

Michael Owen, around whom the tactics have been based for years, has already decided to try his luck abroad, and Harry Kewell's fitness record effectively writes him out of regular plans.

Back up the East Lancs Road, Actual Alex has instantly moved for Wayne Rooney; but even at his most persuasive, his doppelgänger could not have enticed the player to Liverpool, or forced Everton to sell across Stanley Park. To this day the fee remains more than Liverpool have paid for any single player, but only the 4th-most expensive Ferguson has purchased.

United's ethos hasn't changed in years, in the way it has to at Liverpool in 2004; there have been tweaks and evolutions at Old Trafford, but not the total sea-change that any new manager brings, particularly when things aren't going well.

So Scouse Alec is instantly behind the 8-ball. His counterpart has already spent £30m on Ferdinand, £13m on Ronaldo, £13m on Saha (who was very effective up until last season), and is still utilising Giggs, Scholes and Neville (not to mention Brown, O'Shea and Fletcher, all of whom, despite their doubters, go on to be effective players). Ruud Van Nistelrooy is still banging in the goals up front, to keep United ticking over, until the next wave matures.

Of course, Actual Alex spent badly or had flops on a number of occasions in the years leading up to 2004/05: Veron, Forlan, Kleberson, Djemba Djemba, Bellion, Dong Fangzhuo, Alan Smith, Liam Miller, Laurent Blanc (plus that awful bald French guy who played just four games), and at least five keepers who could make even a blind octogenarian look like Peter Schmiechel.

But by 2004, despite a number of wayward purchases, Actual Alex is at least generally on the right lines. It will still take a further two years for Ronaldo to blossom from fancy show-pony to devastating match-winner, Rooney to look the full part, and for Ferdinand to cast off his inconsistency, but the key components are in place. And once they win the league in 2006/07, they are awash with a self-belief that is only increased by last season's success. How can you match that psychological boost?

Of the squad that won the league in 2007 and 2008, and are favourites in 2009, a total of 14 were already in place in 2004. With Saha, Heinze, Richardson, Solskjaer and Silvestre (who all played parts in that vital 2007 title) moved on, nine remain in the squad now.

Could you find nine players from 2004 who you'd still want at Liverpool, excluding Owen (who wanted away), and who would be key squad members in a title charge in 2009? Could you name 14 who'd have helped Liverpool win the league in 2007?

(And remember, someone like Sinama-Pongolle, for example, only did well after leaving as an every-game regular at Recreativo, something he wouldn't really get to do at Anfield; at Atletico he's again struggling to impose himself.)

Still missing for Actual Alex in 2004 was one vital ingredient: a top-class keeper. Finally, Van der Sar solves the problem. In 2005/06, Vidic and Evra arrive, and neither even slightly impresses. But by the following season, they are settled, and lauded.

So what can Scouse Alec do? He has lost his main striker, and has to have a tactical overhaul. At United, Actual Alex has around 70% of a successful squad already in place; at Liverpool, Scouse Alec has around 30% who are of sufficient standard. So he clearly needs to buy a greater number of players.

That means more transfers, and a greater number of failures, too, given that no manager gets close to making a great signing every time. (Look at a ‘genius' like Mourinho's signings: Malouda, Kalou, Kezman, Shevchenko, Wright-Phillips, Del Horno, Ben-Haim, et al. But having inherited a great squad, and with players like Cech and Robben already on their way, it was the three he got spot-on – Drogba, Essien and Carvalho – who made all the difference.)

Liverpool did not have as much money as United between 2004 and 2009, so expensive fees on single players present more of a risk. What if Scouse Alec spends £28m on another Veron, and loses £14m on him in two years?

To start with, Liverpool need a top-class keeper. Get it wrong, and Liverpool are in big trouble. Would Scouse Alec have signed a better keeper than Pepe Reina? I don't see how it's possible. What if his keeper turned out to be another Bosnich, Howard, Tiabi or Carroll?

There's less room for manoeuvre; Liverpool are right on the edge of Champions League qualification, and any failure could see them fall like Newcastle did once excluded from the top four, just as teams fall like stones once relegated.

Chairman David Moores is struggling to get anywhere close to matching the Glazers in terms of financial clout, and with Old Trafford a 70,000+ seater stadium, the chasm is widening. When Liverpool do finally have secure a few big-money signings, United go out and buy even more expensive ones.

All the same, could Scouse Alec have signed a better passer and schemer than Xabi Alonso? Michael Carrick is having an excellent season, but at almost twice the price he is still not, to my mind, in Alonso's class; and at the time, in 2004, Alonso is on Actual Alex's radar, having spoken of considering a £20m bid to Real Sociedad a year earlier.

Could Scouse Alec have bought Liverpool a better midfield shielder than Mascherano? I don't see how. A better striker than Torres? No chance. Because currently there is none.

Better centre-backs than Agger and Skrtel? Well, Vidic, a hot tip for Player of the Year, was a Liverpool target too, but he chose United.

Indeed, Ferguson coveted or was linked to almost all of these stellar Reds, and Benítez was interested in some of those stars who ended up at United; so even at his best, Scouse Alec could only really have matched Rafa in terms of key signings. To have bettered Benítez, Scouse Alec would have needed to do what Actual Alex never could: make no mistakes, and shop exclusively in the mid-price range (where his record is very patchy).

You could argue that Scouse Alec would have adopted different tactics to Rafa. Obviously they have different approaches. But he would not have been able to call upon wingers like Ronaldo and Giggs, because they were already at United.

The wingers Actual Alex has signed since 2004, like Nani and Park, haven't impressed on a regular basis, and with wide flops over the decades, like Karel Poborsky, you could argue that Ferguson has only signed two successful wingers in 23 years: Kanchelskis and Ronaldo.

Of course, those two were spot-on, and Giggs' presence lessened the need to buy more. But it's not like Scouse Alex would have pitched up at Anfield and bought thrilling wide-men; what if he'd purchased a Nani rather than a Ronaldo? He'd also have had the same Kewell Conundrum: at the time, up there with the best wingers in the English game, but just never fit. Too good to ditch, too unfit to play regularly.

In the real world, Liverpool appeared to have caught United in 2005/06. But United, at the time eclipsed by an even bigger-spending rival, were a young team awaiting its moment to explode into maturity. The same could be said of Liverpool now. The core remains fairly young, and has massive potential.

Actual Alex is rightly held up as the benchmark, because his record is there for all to see, and his team is top of the table; hence why I have again chosen to use him for comparison (if Everton were top, then I'd be discussing Moyes; they are not).

But even Ferguson at his very best, if at Liverpool between 2004 and today, would not, to my mind, have done a better job than Benítez.

After all, the ‘Professor', Arsene Wenger – an expert in English football – has gone from regular title challenges and successes to now battling for 5th spot since 2004. The only man to eclipse Ferguson since 2004 was the only man who spent more money. Coincidence?

The fact is, Ferguson, having inherited his own similar situation at United in 1986 (a team used to finishing in the top four but without a title for two decades and in need of a serious overhaul), could not make even the remotest impression during his first five league seasons. So when people say it doesn't matter that Ferguson took seven years to win the title, and that it's not relevant now, I ask why? Surely it's even harder now, with United the best team in Europe?

However, my key point in this comparison has always been less the fact that Ferguson couldn't win the league, and more that he didn't even get close until 1992.

Ferguson's league ‘win %' in his first five seasons was a little over 40%; roughly the same as Graeme Souness' during his ill-fated stint at Liverpool. Yes, that bad!

By contrast, Rafa Benítez has won 55% of his league games in his first five seasons so far. Times have changed, but it's 3% higher than Shankly's and only 1% lower than Paisley's.

And yet he's still portrayed in the media as someone who doesn't understand the English game and who prioritises Europe, while Ferguson, who arrived with no language issues and who, as a Scot, will have had a natural knowledge of English football, is excused his fairly awful first five seasons.

So, with United riding high ever since Benítez got to grips with the league (in 2005/06), all Rafa has had to do is far outperform the man most neutrals hold up to be the best there is, and who has also had more money to spend and more time to construct his squad.

A doddle, surely?

some people just cant admit defeat. u get trashed 4-1 and they come to me and say if man u had been on form liverpool would have lost. honestly wheater man u had been on form on not, liverpool on form and with no injury could easily replicate yesterday's performance. torres was hobbling for the entire match. even had vidic been on form or whatever shit that he wasnt on sat, torres-gerrard would have ripped him, but then he would not be on form. so he cant be on form agianst liverpool cause it is not on form when u got owned. man u lost 2-1 to a liverpool team which did not have gerrard and torres. does it look like vidic will be able to do anything with torres and gerrard...

anyway that was not aimed at anyone is particular just most man u fans. anyway today we had training so i went school. after training kr had to go out at 4 so he had till 3 plus to waste so came my house. just played fifa for 3 hours or so then he left. and i am super bored now. parents dont allow me to play cause i already spent 3 hours playing in the afternoon. grrr. i shall continue looking for a new phone:D

LIVERPOOL 4- MAN U 1

torres gerrard aurelio and dossena all socred for liverpool in what was truely a exitbition. it seemed like MU will be the ones who will be conducting the raid when reina gave away a needless penalty when there was no way park ji sung could score and he still went in for the ball. ronaldo scored( it was the only thing he did the whole game) but after a great long ball by hypia or skrytel vidic errored by thinking he could control the ball. torres as usuall showing his speed just like the game agianst real madrid and the euro fianl got the ball from him and of course scored.

for some weird reason liverpool was not given a penalty when torres was impeded by vidic after he made a very nice turn. it was a definate foul and i think the refree must have missed it. oh well.

later when gerrard went on a surging run, evra could not contain him and gerrard was clean through and evra had no choice but to clip gerrard down and it was a suprise he did not get sent off. gerrard scored and liverpool went into the second half 2-1 up. anyway here is a interesting statistic. this was the first league game this season where man u was losing at half time. it was also almost 5 mths since a team scored more than 1 goal at old trafford or against man u. not sure.

anyway fergie eventually became desperate and sent on giggs, scholes and berbov for carrick, anderson and park. it was a 4-2-4 formation wtf. i was damn scared that man u will come back but all the fear was gone when gerrard(agian) went on a run and vidic had no choice but to block him. red card for vidic and it seemed like gerrard was going to take it when suddenly aureilo suddenly curled the ball when vandersar was stoning lol.

next up was doessena who completed every thing with a lob ball over vandersar who was agian stoning lol after a long punt by reina lol. honestly if man u had been as clinical as liverpool who only had one real miss when gerrard skyied a ball. tevez rooney berbatov ronaldo giggs scholes all couldnt do a thing.

hopefully man u will start losing and liverpool will start a revial.

currently damn bored. i am waiting for more people so that we can play fifa. anyway today nothing much to say just that the seniors had a game agianst mellinuim jc and were losing 1-0 at half time. i am too lazy to ask what is the final score. hope we won :D anyway tml is pretty much the decider game for liverpool. if they lose this they will have a 10point deficet and it will be impossible for any team to catch up with man u. tml i will probably post after the game if i have the mood (i.e if we won) anyway today cutting short cause dun wan bore people and it seems like nobody even reads my blog so why bother?

this is probably gonna be a long post.

holy shit. today i went to school at 8.26 according to records. WTF. i woke up at 6.45 and was at mrt at around 7.10 and deceided to take taxi as i was confident that i could reach school on time. but unfortunatly i got a god damn stupid taxi driver who brought me a tour of singapore... from yishun to clementi he somehow managed to go trhough ERP. WTF. somemore BKE there got some accident then the traffic was moving damn slow. and i had to pay $31 for that freaking trip. anyway went to principal's dialouge at around 8.40 or so and people were staring at me when i came in...

anway me joel kr sg charles yq cherie and cristine went to vivo. we went cause we were supposed to treat joel for his birthday cause kr felt that buying just a ball for him was not good enough lol. so we went subway to eat. acutally wanted to go pastamania in west mall cause its more ex but sg joel prefered to go vivo so we went vivo. anyway after that we walked around all the addidas and nike stores. later we went up to the rooftop and played hide-and-seek-.- anyway me joel and charles spent close to 45mins sitting down and listen to joel narrate bout his real football manager. later went back. oh and on the way to mrt i pushed yq to another lane and then he had to climb the stairs because there was a railings in between. then the guy behind us was like "u very bad ah. make ur friend climb so much. u making him train for mount everest isit.

oh and we met ahmed and jeryl on the train. apparently then were playing also in science centre. and kr kept arguing with me that from harbourfront is it faster to go to marsling through yishun or trhough je. in the end it was probably the same la.

and i am damn pissed with the straits times writers. they keep scolding rafa for rotating his players. what is he suppose to do? play the same players in every game. if he does that they would say that he is a noob that doesnt give his players rest. acutally he doesnt really rotate as much as fergie. it is just that honestly man u have a better team squad than liverpool. i saw this on soccernet.

'I'm leaving out great players all the time,'' complained Sir Alex Ferguson last Saturday as he reflected on the embarrassment of riches at his disposal. Tellingly in the current title race this is not a problem often cited by Rafa Benitez, except when injury forces him to name Steven Gerrard or Fernando Torres as benchwarmers.

What side would Ferguson or Benitez pick if they could combine their squads
So, if we forced Ferguson to omit more high-calibre players, what would a team look like if, instead of facing one another on Saturday, Liverpool and Manchester United pooled their personnel? And do the results indicate, as is often stated, that there is strength in depth at Old Trafford, but not at Anfield?

This hypothetical process was conducted under the assumption everyone is fit, and with a second 11 selected to further test the clubs' respective resources. Had the sole criterion for selection been their performance against Real Madrid, it could have been a clean sweep for Liverpool; given United's dominance of the season, there is a case for 11 men from Manchester. A combined XI has neither, however.

We'll start off with a shock. Edwin van der Sar may have spent the last few months amassing records, but by virtue of being busier Jose Reina has saved more shots and more points than the Dutchman and so wins this goalkeeping vote.

Despite Reina's selection United's impeccable defending does deserve recognition, and it is only right they contribute the majority of the back four.

Left-back is Liverpool's problem position, so Patrice Evra is a shoo-in. Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic represent the outstanding central defensive partnership in the Premier League and have the benefit of complementing one another. The Englishman's anticipation and reading of the game enables him to provide the sleeker sidekick to the more aggressive Serb. There is little logic in disrupting such an effective alliance.

But Jamie Carragher can be accommodated. It may be a slight to the specialists, and it is public knowledge that it is not his favourite role, but Liverpool's vice-captain is an excellent right-back. He is underrated as an attacking force and it means Anfield's answer to Vidic is also available to provide his brand of no-holds-barred defending.

If the right winger is perhaps the simplest selection - a certain Portuguese - the centre of midfield may be the toughest. The commanding performances Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano produced in the Bernabeu mean there is a case for choosing them as a pair; equally, the same could be said for Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher after their displays against Chelsea. Michael Carrick may have had the finest season of any of the candidates, but Gerrard's best surpasses anyone else's.

Any duo involves an element of compromise, but Gerrard can be picked in his preferred position in the centre of midfield with a more defensive accomplice. The tireless Mascherano is ideal, while Giggs is the choice on the left. He may rarely play there now, but Evra's overlapping style means the Welshman could effectively operate as a third central midfielder and permit Gerrard to roam.

Deploying him in midfield renders it easier to select a forward line. Even given the competition for places, Gerrard's usual ally in attack is an automatic pick: Torres' speed, sharpness and potency means he plays.

There is a three-way contest to partner him, with the candidates comprising United's strike force. Wayne Rooney edges out Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez, partly for his greater versatility. Although it is a side selected in a 4-4-2 formation, they could just as easily play 4-2-3-1, with Gerrard operating behind Torres, and flanked by Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo

So there are three Liverpudlians and, excluding Giggs on the basis of his birth in Cardiff, no Mancunians. Nevertheless, this side contains a majority - just - for Ferguson and a minority of Benitez's charges. It suggests a marginal advantage for Manchester United.

The second XI, however, does indicate United possess a far greater pool of talent. With only three Liverpool players - Martin Skrtel, Xabi Alonso and Dirk Kuyt - it is dominated by United and includes some men who are only understudies at Old Trafford. There were some close calls - particularly the choice between Rafael da Silva and Alvaro Arbeloa at right-back - but it points to United's genuine strength in depth.

It also helps illustrate why Liverpool, with a relatively small group of high-class performers, are capable of outstanding results but unable to sustain the consistency to win the title, whereas United are better equipped to cope with the absences of their premier players. And if that does not support Ferguson's statement that he is leaving out great players, he is certainly omitting very good ones on a regular basis. Benitez has no such luxury.

look at the stats. liverpool contribute 5 very good players to the starting line up while only a pathetic 3 to the second XI. and rafa benitez is supposed to play with the same players every game. the reason he gets blasted is cause liverpools second team cannot compare with man u's second team. so when he does roate he draws a game. but not like he has a choice not to rotate. liverpools core bunch of players mainly gerrard torres carragher and mash can pretty much force themselves to any team in the world. maybe carrgher may not be a automatic choice but he is still worth mentioning.

oh yea and i am planning on buying a new phone. anyone got any good suggestions :D yay. end of post.

yo shorties. today had english common test then because of that all lesson were pushed back by 1 hour and my class was supposed to end at 5. lucky our teacher ms.florence kok let us of 40mins early! woohoo and btw i went to class 15mins late. :D anyway i think i will go and fol2 very soon cause got nothing much else to say already just that i am taller than u. ha. and tml got stupid tamil common test and then next next week is common test week. which means i will not be able to enjoy the holidays T.T

ok and decieded to add bout soccer lol. anyway tml morning is liverpool vs real madrid. lvierpool up 1-0 from the first leg, which means that a draw for liverpool would be enough for liverpool to qualify(lose 1-0 means penalties). and this sat is the game agianst man u. so effectivly should liverpool lose these two games they will end up with no silverware.

today was a damn boring day. ok fine lunch was damn funny. we were talking about micheals gf and ahmed came and looked at his gf picture. 'thats ur girlfriend?' then gave a damn funny gay laugh. oh well anyway we tormented micheal about his girlfriend longer then later they had lessons while i had break so i went to play cards abit. and cherie stole my shoebag for more than half the day. soccer going to start then i was walking up and down trying to find her. then realised that she left in my class.=.=

and today training was damn shit. the girls had some game and the adiv people went to use the gym so we were left to train on the freaking cold pitch. it felt like we were playing in some air-con indoor pitch which was full of mud. actually i just realised i wrote smth about our school should get a indoor stadium with a retractable roof and floodlights for my tamil essay thing.=.=

then the girls had a game agianst some other school. lol not bad. we only lost 4-1 or smth. better than our scores :D anyway nothing else to post other than mourinho talking his usual crap agian.

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has, in true style, stirred the pot ahead of his team's Champions League second round return leg against Manchester United on Wednesday by saying he could take over as manager at Old Trafford when Sir Alex Ferguson finally decides to retire.

Mourinho believes things would be different on the domestic scene for Manchester United if he wasn't sacked as Chelsea boss in September 2007.

He added: "Yes, Manchester United are the best team in England but you have to ask how good has the Premier League been since I left?

"Manchester United have won it with ease since I have gone because no manager has put a team together that can rival them.

"But my teams always rival Manchester United and Sir Alex knows that.

"They are a great team but if I was at a top club in England I think the title race might have been a lot closer this year."

Mourinho also had some disparaging words for the teams trailing in United's wake, adding he would be "embarrassed" to be in their current position.

"Chelsea have had no stability, Arsenal are nowhere and Liverpool threatened but I don't think anybody really thought they were ever going to win it," he said.

"I would not allow a team of mine to be so far behind. It is embarrassing in March.

"Manchester United have a great squad but are their players really that much better than Chelsea's or Liverpool's? I don't think so.

"So something else must be the problem and somebody has to take responsibility for that.

"I beat Manchester United with Chelsea and Porto. Now I am ready to beat them with Inter.

"I feel confident that if I had been at one of the big four clubs I would be closer or maybe even above Manchester United."

yea today my parents went out so i went to nearby hawker centre to buy dinner. still eating currently haha. anyway so today afternoon lian han was saying smth about gerrard being a diver.

anyway i dont disagree that gerrard dives. but most player do dive. nobody can say they have never dived before. imagine u are a player playing in the epl. 70mins into the match, u are tired and you are down 1-0 or 0-0 into a game you should win. u make a surging run and u feel a tug/push on your back and millions of fans worldwide wan u to score. obviously anyone in that postion would prefer to go down. but then it is different when u dive consistently week in week out. anyway i think ronaldo is a very good player but he should shut his mouth. and also dive less.

sian today damn boring day. coach could not make it for the training today as there was a adiv game with cjc. they lost 10-1 according to joel. anyway so richard took over. we had an extremly fun training session =.=. we did some dumb thing were we had to run for half a sprint with another guy and the guy who has the ball at the end shoots and the other guy does 20 pushups. then later do some stupid obstacle course thing where half the time u are running with the ball in your hands and other stupid tihngs.

and yk is imba at FOL2. i love his super-imba non lagging com which did not dc the both of us and let us enjoy and enjoyable lag-free games which were extremly pleasurable to play. and btw i lost 3 games in a row XD. only played well in the last game but started joking once i was winning 1-0 and lost 2-1. oh well. now u know. yk is better than me in both real soccer and virtual.

anyway i realised that we are playing more street soccer these days. mainly because of the fact that most of the people nowadays dont come to play soccer already. left with only the few of us that play everyday no choice but to play street. i still prefer the full matches cause its alot more fun. anyway street soccer not so bad, better than spending 30mins just crossing and shooting for fun. i wish more people would come play. then we can play full match. or we should organise something like last last years 04v02 games. i wouldnt mind those but my class has too many people who would wan that man =.=

yesterday didnt post cause yesterday i came back from training/ soccer party and felt very sleeply and decided to sleep. so posting for yesterday and today.

ok yesterday we were suppose to have match with some team but it got cancelled cause the seniors were supposed to have match at the same time. but then dunno why the seniors match the team never come because of some mix-up in the arrangement or smth like that. anyway richard decieded to scold us and it was a joke and i shall try to post as much as i can remember cause i told kr i would do it lol.

"ok team. last last week the a div had a match agaisnt st.andrew. they played very well.( but lost 12-0) but then got some RASCALS in the stands laughing at them. u think u all are very good. u wan me to bring my SAFFC to play with you all. u all win be trashed. coach ask u b div to not play soccer because tml got tournamet right. but u all running on track playing soccer at street soccer court. u all come for training anyhow kick ball. keep kicking over the bar, over the fence. ( and over to AYE. hi yk:D) later tml u go in u play 1 game u lose u out of tournament you know. somemore i am a very famous person. everywhere i go people will ask me your team lose? what will happen to my face??"

shit. today had some nike cup tournament. victoria replaced kranji. the other teams were marlising sec and serangoon sec. we lost all 3 games 1-0. shit. i played like a complete joker. i hardly even got the ball and my one shot that i had went dunno where, it was a open goal btw. wtf. and all the 3 goals we let in was probably cause we didnt manage to settle in to the game. all 3 goals we let in were quite early in the game. and we werent used to the defenders like nics ong playing and all. some more yaya was playing for us =.= the second and third game he was playing right-back both goals we let in was his fault... oh well. srry kr! we let u down:D

yay zonals are finally over. we played close to twice the games we were supposed to play lol. we lost 1-0 but i thought we were the better team. they scored from a counter-attack when micheal let the ball slip trough his hands. tough luck D: he made a couple of greats save and he had to let in a easy catch/parry. oh well. D: and i went on together with yufong for a double sub for poh and sundeep in like last 10mins. last 10 mins we were playing 4-2-4 from 4-5-1. oh well. the game had at least 20+ offsides. wth.

oh well. so went back to mrt with some of the seniors, kr, poh and hj. and wtf i got spotted for drinking drink on mrt. andre was drinking then the officer spotted him and was walking towards us. i didnt know what was happening then my bottle fell down. the i opened the bottle in front of the guy and every thing spilled out. Heys, 8-0 today. woots but wtf. i choose the screwing wrong day to get injured knnb. wtf. if i had played the score may not be so much but at least i am condident we will be able to win. and i would have got to play. sian. we finally finished today's game. end score was 6-0 to hong kah but this was probably their first team as they had to win us to qualify. i thought we played quite well. i went on after like 20mins with the score down 2-0. and the 4th and 5th goals were directly my fault. i losrt possession cheaply and they counter-attack and scored wth. wtf i get chance to play also i go screw up like this, i will never get to play...

hectic day agian. p.e, maths, chem, maths elective, and english. wa sian. anyway pe just did 1.6km run damn joke every1 in my class also nvr run properly. then we are going to 'slowly progress' to 2.0 then 2.4 then 2.8 then 3.2 lol. and also did some strengthing excercises. and wth lar. today lessons from 8 to 4 and i only have 2 30mins breaks.

game got postponed with 13mins left with the score tied at 1-1 agianst chestnut dr. because of the rain(again!!!) so we have to play the whole game again yawn. AND I was an intergral part of the team. had it not been for my excemplary bench-warming skills, we wold not have been able to come back from 1-0 down. and also the fact that i was warming up for nothing also helped to spur the team on.
end of bullshit... i think.

and kr is damn sad. got damn cool new tiempo boots and lost it one the first day. waa shit sia. i know how it feels to have your boots missing. at least mine i knew it was in schools after like 20mins. hopefully some kind soul in hong kah TOOK( NOT TOKE ) it for him and will return on wed.

tml valantines day so every1 was giving choclates and other stuff. yay thanks, and thanks to cherie for the card with my name on it XD. and today during mentoring in 03they were giving the rose to tiffany, and then when she read the thing hui kang and nic ran out of the their class laughing damn badly lol. god-damn joke. and during lunch we played netball lol. dont really know the rules lol, so we just played like captain ball. me sg kr and bryan vs nic neo, hong jie, joel and jun rui(?i just realised i not excatly sure how to spell his name lol. didnt know netball was so tiring. i was sweating way more than how much i usually do when i play soccer. maybe it was cause we were playing 4v4 full feild. dunno how many they would play with normally definately not 4. and they keep throwing long ball, so must ran back get ball, then run at their defence agian. and the final score was 0-0 cause none of us can score=.=

today seniors had a div match agianst st.andrews jc. we lost 12-0 but i think its was ok cause they are like one the best jcs in singapore. actually they played quite well but st.andrews finishing damn imba. and sg got to play agianst them sia. damn good arh. coach seriously likes him i also dunno why lol. and if u read his blog about what that he is not going to play on mon and wed. its his usual bullshit.

lol my c-box is like dead lol. sg and poh set up blog drive every1 away i feel so sad. T.T lol. yea we were playing soccer during break today and ahmed was saying how he was going to replicate the free kick that he scored from the half way line against hong kah. so he kicked like more than 20 times than each time you can see he coming a bit closer. finally after very long he scored and he was like ' u see thats skill.' later on we were doing bicycle kicks and ahmed bicycle hit his own head.

In England, more than in any other country, there is a tradition of supporters travelling en masse to away games.

Those football fans who regularly follow their team away from home will be familiar with the concept of the face of a person you regularly see but rarely know, someone you nod at without saying hello to who reminds you that you're in the right place.

Occasionally you may even give them a name so in my group of Manchester United matchgoers, we silently greet Dowie, The Ghost, Napalm Death and Mr Milky Milky. There'll be those within United's support who recognise the people I mean, others who won't and some who'll know them by another name entirely, maybe even the one their parents gave them. But one person who everyone could identify - usually by his surname only - was Mike Dobbin.

Dobbin died on January 29 at the age of 61, but in those years he crammed in more United games than seems humanly possible. Born in Prestwich, Manchester in 1947, he began going to Old Trafford as a child and over the course of his life his remarkable devotion to the red cause has cemented him into United folklore.

There are numerous anecdotes and statistics that illustrate Dobbin's loyalty, so here are a few. Despite moving to London to pursue a career in accountancy, he attended every single first-team game - competitive and friendly - from October 1991 until Boxing Day 2008. In all, he watched United on close to 2000 occasions and in 44 different countries, not missing a Euro away from 1965 onwards. On last summer's tour, to get to Nigeria from South Africa he flew via London, claiming it was cheaper that way, but few who knew him were surprised when he showed up at a reserve game at Oxford in between.

Most impressive of all, though, and certainly my favourite piece of Dobbin-related trivia, is that in the Fergie era he has attended more United games than the man himself, Sir Alex having missed a few occasions for family reasons, part-timer that he is.

Dobbin's loyalty wasn't just to the boys on the pitch. As travel secretary of United's London Fan Club, he spent a ridiculous number of hours arranging transport and tickets for those based in the area. He was particularly active during the "Red Army" years of the 70s and 80s when United would take thousands from the capital to every game, even though he didn't agree with the slightly mischievous philosophy of many of its members.

Some may think that this is of no relevance to anyone who isnt a match-going United fan, but they'd be wrong. Every club has its Dobbin, people who encapsulate everything that football was once about, and still is for those with eyes to see.

When Manchester United began life in 1878 as Newton Heath, it wasn't as a business or a brand, but a group of mates kicking a ball around for fun, just the same as nearly every other institution in both the professional and amateur game. That's why the league comprises football clubs and not football teams; the point was that they should be groups of like-minded individuals gathered together for a unified purpose, of which the men selected to take the field were but a constituent part.

Those on the pitch are merely transient, just passing through; incidental to the whole shebang when compared to those who were there before they arrived and will be there long after they've left. United supporters refer affectionately to the team as "the shirts" because ultimately it doesn't matter a stuff who's wearing them as long as they do so with honour and pride; what's important is the people and place it represents. Which is why Mike Dobbin is a mark one, bona fide red legend, woven into the fabric of the club every bit as much, if not more, than Edwards, Best, Law and Cantona.

The shame is that those playing and running the game continually fail to realise this. Players become ever more remote, content to milk the adulation of the crowd for the duration of the 90 minutes, before insulating themselves from its members the rest of the time behind minders, gates and VIP areas.

Meanwhile clubs have effectively taken on the mantle of the local drug dealer, treating pathetically-addicted supporters like the worst kind of crackhead, while hopelessly in hock to wholesaling television companies whom the FA are entirely unable or unwilling to police.

All this means that the concept of accountability is exactly that - a concept - with the blame for exhorbitant pricing and inconvenient kick-off times passed around the little circle like a Chinese whisper. Nonetheless its members would do well to remember that ultimately there will be a price; not all supporters have the limitless loyalty of Mike Dobbin.

heys. i had training today. did some running,possesion,penalties and passing stuff. never play match also. quite boring... anyway was wearing bandage on my ankle cause coach say it will help your ankle when we go in for 50-50 tackles. but i wore it wrongly so it didnt have much effect =.= woah and i played basketball today like after dunno 1-2 year plus? i think the last time was probably in year 1 like that when we played a bit lol.

10th post... yea had bio and physics praticals today. just spent my time playing hp games. and dunno why ivan's championship manager is corruptted or my phone cannot tahan the game already lol. anyway screw the stupid 196 bus driver. go drive us to clementi town sec. we were puposly spamming the bus buttons for fun haha. i think he looked dam pissed by the time we got off. ha.

oh yea. liverpool 2- chelsea 0. dunno have seen the match yet ( still loading ) but my father said liverpool was quite dominating which is good enough. and we lost to swiss cottage 3-0. oh well. all 3 goals were quite lucky and micheal was EXCELLENT in goal today. he let in 3 goals but he saved i think close to 10? or maybe more... could feel yk was feeling a bit jealous but oh well. and sg played full game. but quite a lot of mistakes but still good enough to play inter-school sia la. and i didnt really play very well. oh well. i suck.

and acutally i dont think swiss cottage was really very good. its just that out defence was quite unsettled and midfeild was screwed thanks to ahmed dunno what he doing also. but swiss cottage the midfeild quite strong. we had very few times when we actually attacked their defence. most of the times the defence was slacking like dam sian.

hong kah on wed. we saw them play after us today, and seriously the game is dam nice. and chestnut dr seemed to be quite a decent school also. better than us. and i will spare u all jokes today...

yo people. first of all ignore joel's comment on obama. full of bullshit. anyways today went sentosa with fren. funnn. went to see the 4D movie thing dam cool. like in the screen got water splash then really got water splash on your face. cooooool. also went in the luge. been on it before but still quite fun :) and spent the rest of the time taking photos and relaxing in beach. not posting photos cause its erm personal :)))

heys. today had game against acs(i). game ended 3-3 only cause the seniors came in when we were losing 3-1. but seriously coach says we were playing no where near our full potenial and i must agree. this is no where near the form the team had during the later part of the competition at jalan basar stadium or even during trainings. but maybe is a good thing as it will serve as a wake-up call. and i seriously gotta improve or i am not going to play. today the whole game only had a handful of touches. and no shot, crossed etc.

and sg was praised like crazy by coach today. he was saying, 'see that no.15. hes so disciplined and always stays back'. just then sg started moving forward and i was trying not to laugh. yea and found a couple of cool jokes.

and thinking about link up b/w striker and am/cm i am starting to get more and more nervous. our group got hong kah, swiss cottage, clementi town and chestnut drive or smth. and wed got some friendly game with acs(i). last time we played with them i remember the seniors were playing then the refree dam kayu one. this time we should be playing and i seriously hope the ref dont kayu. not like it will make a diff wheater i can score or not. ( i cant). oh and today my pri sch fren prasith was saying that chestnut dr are some rubbish sch and joel says they are 4th in west zone. dunno la probably cause VS too imba lor.

heys, decided to start a blog to spend time. i will start off with a nike ad bout a promising young player who gets scouted by arsenal and how he doesnt play well at first but later train hard and also the luxuries he gets.
